It began with compromise. Which, in the best of sense, is finding a mutual agreement, and being flexible to embrace change, while still being true to yourself.
This I personally find hard to do. As a peace-keeper, I am one to bend and change fairly gracefully and work towards making others happy. Some may perceive this as heroic, some may perceive this as spineless. Both have positive and negative value, depending on the perception.
One thing I know, being a sensitive person, when I feel threatened or unfairness, the nervous system kicks into full gear and I am liable to sting. When I have realized this, the best analogy I have to nature is a jellyfish, a spineless fish that when threatened is liable to sting.
